Welcome..
Our mission at BMG is to
help promote, encourage, and develop new meaningful friendships
among women, who happen to be bisexual. We hope that you will make
our mission, your mission.
About BMG..
Our community was founded in February, 2003. We are a
private social club for bisexual mothers, bisexual women and
bi-supportive female friends aged 20+ of all orientations,
races, creeds, professions, ideologies and lifestyles; who meet
online in a private member's only area here at BMG and in real life
for such events such as simple meet & greets, annual
gatherings, lunches, out for drinks and more. To date, we've
had over 30 meet and greets, both large and small.
BMG is a highly discreet, safe and
anonymous community, for various personal levels. You may
be as open or as closed about your life, as you feel
comfortable being. We range in age from 20's to 60's, and everything
in between. I started this group over 5 years ago as a way to build
a warm and welcoming community for bisexual mothers/women and their
bi-supportive female friends.. and during this time, I'm happy to
say I've had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful women and
creating amazing friendships. Many other women in the group have
shared similiar sentiments with me, which makes it all worth it!
To be clear, we are a private females-only social group, not a
swingers club, single's network, a non-profit, politically nor
religiously affiliated. While we do support one another through
friendships and commonalities of various sorts, we are not
officially a support group either. While we try to accomodate as
many different needs amongst the queer female community as possible,
we also acknowledge that no one group can be everything to everyone.
So, this group is specifically for biologically-born (cisgender) and
post-operative transgender bi and bi-supportive women over the age
of 20, who are comfortable socializing and can leave their personal
political and religious beliefs at the door. This is not as a
political statement, nor does BMG seek to denounce anyone's identity
as a woman. It is simply an acknowledgment that one group can not
meet every bi woman's needs within the queer community.
A few rules: BMG does not resume responsiblity for any innapropriate
behavior of it's members. We are NOT a sex club, a non-profit or
social agency, a political or religious group, or a dating service;
rather, we are just a group of bisexual mothers, bisexual women
and our bi-supportive female friends that get together and support
each other online and sometimes in real life. Members are encouraged
to respect each other's space, both phsyically and emotionally. We
request that all member's are respectful of BMG's rules at all of
our functions and supportive of biseuxal women's place in the queer
female community. While we appreciate that different people may have
different views on what a social group should be like and what
policies it should maintain, we also ask for those with different
views to offer BMG the same respect and tolerance they expect for
themselves.
The short and sweet of BMG:
If you would like to become a member of our community, please
completely fill out our membership application found on the "Join
Us" link above. I, personally, read each and every application and
consider your given information. Please be honest, thorough and be
yourself. Your answers do make a difference. If an application is
denied for any reason, please by all means contact me to ask why.
I'll be honest with you, if you're honest with me.
Thank you... Tiffany, owner of BMG.
